THE FORMAL BITS

I graduated with a Biokinetics degree from Stellenbosch University, and later added a sports massage therapy qualification to my toolkit. Growing up in a sporty family, I originally thought I’d specialise in sports rehab, until I was magnetically pulled toward understanding how a woman’s body changes, adapts, and heals during the incredible journey of motherhood.

For the past four years, I’ve been combining exercise and massage therapy to help all kinds of bodies, from busy professionals wanting to get back into shape, to pregnant and postpartum moms rebuilding strength. I’m obsessed with learning and new research and that’s why random trendy workouts are not my style. Show me the research, make it make sense, and that’s exactly what I pass on to my moms.

The questions moms are asking

  • Mom Strong and Mom Rebuild classes take place at HIIVE Fitness in Somerset West.

The Fit for Two program and the Crib to Core rehab program are hosted online.

  • I offer a variety of classes and programs to suit different needs and fitness levels:

    • Mom Rebuild Classes: For moms under 6 months postpartum. Ideal for those who are freshly postpartum or experiencing pelvic floor pain or related symptoms.

    • Mom Strong Classes:For moms over 6 months postpartum. Perfect for those returning to exercise, or for moms who have resumed activity but are caught in the pelvic floor pain cycle.

    • Fit for Two program: 2nd and 3rd trimester online program, ideal for moms who want to invest in their health and feel confident that their gym exercises are safe for bump and body.

    • Crib to Core program: Ideal for moms week one or two postpartum, designed to promote healing.

  • Booking a class is simple. Head to the Classes page and follow the prompts- they will guide you to the HIIVE website where you can secure your spot.

  • Your safety is my top priority. If you have an injury or health concern, just give me a heads-up and I’ll tailor exercises to keep your session safe and effective.

  • It depends on what you're looking for! When you purchase an online program, a complimentary consultation with Tammy is included. This will be a casual chat before you kick things off, to talk through where you're at and what you're hoping to achieve.

If you'd prefer a standalone consultation, you can book a call with Tammy via the Classes page for a once-off fee of R400. This is a longer, more personalised conversation where Tammy will dive deeper into your goals, any limitations and provide exercise recommendations.

“I loved the in-person sessions! They were so much more than just a workout, we could chat motherhood and laugh about random things and I felt like I was doing something meaningful for myself again.”
