I know this might sound weird to you, but there is a huge emotional connection to your C-section scar. Doesn’t matter if your C-section was peaceful and amazing or hurried and traumatic - it was a huge event that happened to your body and your emotions. Naturally, we want to avoid touching or looking at the wound, but I want to encourage you not to shut out and ignore what just happened to your body.
By touching your tummy and your wound, you are telling your body you are okay. This is HUGE for your healing and recovery. Get familiar with where you are feeling tender, numb, or oversensitive. All of this information is so good for the brain to aid your healing and recovery.
